I recently bought a new mobo, specs in sig, and I'm stil playing around with the CMOS settings.
I came across some options in the Frequency/Voltage Control section that the manual doesn't go into a whole detail about. One is AGP Clock Control: Options are keying in a DEC # between 66 and 120. I have it set right now at default 66. Will increasing this number cure world hunger, bring world peace, or at minimum increase the performance of my system? The other is AGP Voltage Control: I can choose 1.5....1.6...or 1.7 volts. Right now I have it at the safe level I guess of 1.5. Should I max it out, or will this cause my R9700 Pro to run hotter (Too hot)? BTW, I have my Dram Voltage set at the medium voltage of 2.6 I believe. The other choices are 2.5 and 2.7. Thanks...in advance. |

*Bump* I know one of you guru types knows what this is, does, and what I should set it at to get optimal performance.

Leave it as it is. All this does is increase the bus frequency of the AGP port and in my experience, just ends up causing crashes. As for the voltage, this increases the voltage the motherboard gives across the AGP port. You don't need to be increasing it.
If you're overclocking the CPU its beneficial to have some sort of option which locks the PCI/AGP bus speeds at default as this gives a more stable overclock. I'm sure someone here will correct me if I'm wrong - I usually end up leaving something important out
