HDMI Audio and Sil3132 RAID card conflict
For the past month or so, I've been running an HDMI cable from my Radeon 5850 to my HDTV to watch movies. It's been working perfectly until I bought a SATA RAID card, the Sil3132 (PCI-E x1) because I ran out of internal SATA controllers and I needed one more.
Upon putting it in, I noticed my computer took about 3 minutes to boot up, which was a HUGE change from the 15-20 seconds I've been getting (brand new SSD ). When I tried to watch a movie through the HDMI with the RAID card in, the video would not load, and my machine would practically lock up.If I take the RAID card out, everything goes back to the way it has been for the past month. If i put the RAID in, and disable the HDMI audio in the Device Manager, my computer boots at the correct speed, but, of course, I can't watch movies like that, and if I try to enable it through the Device Manager, it fails to start. The raid card is running the latest drivers and BIOS version (using the BASE version, as I have no need for RAID config) as well as my Radeon 5850. I've tested the HDMI using the Realtek driver, the one from ATI, and the one that Windows installs by default, with no luck. I've tried the card in both of my PCI-E x1 controllers, and both have the issue. If the HDMI Audio driver and the Sil3132 are both enabled, Windows does not detect any issues with them through Device Manager, but there is clearly a problem. Any suggestions?

Re: HDMI Audio and Sil3132 RAID card conflict
I can say that I don't have the same issue w/ my HD5970 & Sil3132 card. DisplayPort audio (which is the same as the HDMI audio) worked perfectly fine. My system use to take 3 minutes to boot as well. The only way I fixed that issue on that machine was to reinstall windows 7 w/ the Sil3132-based card in prior to Windows installation.
