Hello everyone,
I just registered and thought someone might help me out. I acquired an older 32 bit XP machine built on an Intel D845EBT mobo w/a P4 1.8 processor. (2002-3 vintage as far as I can tell). I put in 2 GB of ram and today I pick up an ATI Radeon 9600XT AGP card w/256 mb to replace the 32 MB card it had, mostly so I could get a DVI port for a monitor. As I searched the ATI site it appears the card is no longer supported and no specific driver is available for downloading. I'm gathering that that I need some version of the ATI Catalyst driver but from your forum, that I may not want to install the latest version. Or maybe I'm just confused... So my question is: What driver do I need and where can I download it from, preferably for free. Thank you for your help. Robbie |

Re: ATI 9600 XT driver help please
You can get a generic ATI driver from their website. If you scroll to the bottom of that page you'll see two downloads - one for the driver only and one for the driver with the Catalyst Control Centre.
