Samsung BX2450 recommendation
Anyone say anything about this monitor? I saw it at work it looks OK. But we had it hooked up on VGA split up.... biggest LED monitor I can find would prefer a 27" but oh well! Oh and my Acer monitor just died thats why...
What do you guys think? |

Samsung SyncMaster BX2450 - ProductWiki unbiased product reviews But, the prices I'm seeing for this monitor are over twice what I paid brand new for each of my ViewSonic 24 inch LCDs. Plus, my ViewSonics have HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. So, I guess it all depends on how much you'd be spending on that one...if you have to pay anything for it at all. |

Re: Samsung BX2450 recommendation
the monitor is thin from what I saw, and bright from what I heard. Decent 1000:1 contrast ratio.
and my monitor works again for no apparent reason. Looks like a power adapter issue. |

Re: Samsung BX2450 recommendation
i'm not going to touch it for the simple fact that it'll be half price damn quick and personally find that the 2343BWX 23" 2048x1152 monitors still are the cats meow in terms of just about everything out there..

You do realise it doesn't have HDMI connection? And no LED back lighting? I wouldn't get it.

Yeah, and I think that those monitors that you linked are really nice looking! Right now, LED monitors are like LED TVs. They are on the way down in price but still cost prohibitive to anyone not rich or crazy. ![]() I jest but seriously we all know that they will be down to a reasonable price in a few months so no point in snagging them now.

Re: Samsung BX2450 recommendation
I think it is wrong (to be very polite) to buy a non LED monitor and with no HDMI or Displayport ports.
I have nothing else to add.

Re: Samsung BX2450 recommendation
DVI does most people's purposes, HDMI might be on its way out with that new crazy ethernet cable. DisplayPort is cool, but only ATi cards have utilized so far only. Too much stupid competition with connections!

Re: Samsung BX2450 recommendation
well to add.. the monitor also support display port to dvi too without any glitches or issues
![]() Do really provided with a 10-15 dollar adapter.... you can plug anything you like into the 2343bwx monitors.. 50,000:1 contrast ratio.. excellent color saturation and crisp clear.. excellent viewing angles... both side to side and up and down.... however obviously still best if you look at it straight on. and damn are they ever bright
