Unique Desktop Power Problem

Hi everyone, I'm building a new computer, but something in going oddly wrong. The computer will successfully boot and begin running with full keyboard, mouse, etc support, but turns off after ~10-15 seconds, and then won't turn on for another few minutes. Its as though the power supply has to build up a charge in order to run. Here are the system specs:

EVGA X58 SLI LE mobo
Cooler Master GX 750W PSU
nVidia 460 GTX 768MB
Intel Core i7 930 Bloomfield

I'd appreciate any help I can get, I've never had this kind of problem before.

Check your cooler, sounds like an auto shutdown due to heat

Yeah, the temperature monitor is hovering around 85 degrees Celsius, which very easily explains it. I'm pretty certain the CPU heatsink is installed correctly, so what do you imagine could be causing the problem?

Re-do the mounting and the grease, for some reason you didn't get a proper seat..... I take it the fan is working properly, right?

Yes, all the fans and the heatsink/fan work when I boot, but I'll try remounting the heatsink and see what happens. Thanks for the help so far Tyrson.

Alright, it turned out that the heatsink was only firmly attached on two of the four screw slots, which was causing a heat leak. Anyway, the temperature is down from 85 degrees Celsius to ~50, which is much more reasonable. Thanks again for the help Tyrson!
