Razer Lachesis Firmware update..
I had to RMA my Microsoft Sidewinder X8 due to a battery issue... (Im Selling the replacement via ebay)

I just picked up a Razer Lachesis Mouse today...The current Firmware is 1.91...But Razer has the current version 1.94 online and i have downloaded it.. But the problem it will not update under windows 7...Even in compatibility mode don't work.

Does any one know how i can update the firmware with out having to install windows vista or have to make a trip across town to use my sisters vista pc...

Any suggestions ?

My Razer Deathadder has real problems if I try to update when plugged into a hub, Are you plugged direct into the mobo?

Also, sometimes a failed flash can be fixed (and then sucessful) by reinstalling the drivers and then trying again after a reboot.

The Lachesis is plugged direct to the mobo USB...

I tried your solution of re-installing the latest driver and it will not flash the firmware.

I had problems too flashing my DA under 7 64 bit, i don't remember what i did. I think i ended up doing it under XP Mode. But since then a more recent flash attempt went well.

It hangs for around a minuite or two.... then it comes up with the message to disconnect the mouse and reconnect it (To get it working again).

i have tried every compatible mode win 7 has and i get the same error every time...



I would cdontact Support but mu Landline has not been working since last thursday,Still waiting for virginmedia to fix it.

I had a response from Razer. Basically their XP/Vista firmware completed testing etc so they decided to release it. The Win 7 version will be available soon (by the end of the month) So hang fire for now.

Also, check your PM.

Thanks stu.... I have not received anything yet...

The reason i posted the link is that the firmware has made the Lachesis perform more stable than the 1.91 firmware..I used to have a slight hovering issue with the curser.. Which hasd now stopped since the update.

I got a Razer L33T Pack.. Filled with case badges,Keyring,Drinks Mat & a Do not disturb door handle notice..

Don't know where to put th cases emblams...Let them know everything ok & thank them for the good gesture..
