Would this be sufficient cooling for an I7?
Now I am NOT being a smart ass. I am really asking this.
I got this heatsink a LONG time ago, I don't know when, how or where. So this is a serious question, it supposed to have two 92MM fans, and I ahve no idea where those are, if this would be sufficient to cool the i7, which way should the fans blow? ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us

6 heatpipes... decent fin array...
assuming it can actually be mounted, it should be better than stock.... feel free to try but if it even looks fishy during the install.... just go back.

What does this do?

Re: Would this be sufficient cooling for an I7?
Both fans should be blowing in the same direction, preferably towards the case's exhaust.
However, I have no idea whether that cooler is capable of cooling an i7 or even whether it would fit the socket.

Re: Would this be sufficient cooling for an I7?
it more than likely has no means of being used on an i7 without modding...
a means to mount the heatsink is necessary... but it looks like it has the mass to cool a stock i7 provided a mounting solution was found.
