Hi all, I need your help! I am in the UK and am running Windows 7 on an acer pc via a netgear ADSL modem. I want to get a new modem that still allows this connection but also allows me to conect wirelessly on my acer netbook, also running Windows 7 (starter). The pc uses AOL, and so far the netbook uses Google Chrome via a Vodafone dongle as internet connections. Any help or ideas greatly recieved!!!!

Re: Wired / Wireless connection.....
Does the ADSL modem have WLAN AP? If it has you just need to setup the WLAN side of it to work. As for the dongle you can disconnect it when using your WLAN.

Re: Wired / Wireless connection.....
You have two options.
1. Check with your ISP, and see if they offer a wireless modem. I did that when my router died. They had a wireless modem with 4 hard wired outputs. They did charge me a one time fee of $50.00 to swap modems, but that's about what a wireless router wold have cost anyway. 2. Buy and install ROUTER like a Linksys WRT54G which has wireless, and wired outputs. The first option would be the easiest.
