Roccat vs Razer
I'm thinking about getting a gaming-grade mouse for a Christmas present around the £30 region and I've become a little stuck. The mouse needs to be relatively basic but a nice gaming-grade.
I've come across the Roccat Kova Pure and the Razer Abyssus with pennies' difference. Is one notably better than the other or would it come down to personal preference (which neither he or I have with them) or price?

Re: Roccat vs Razer
I have a Raxer Abyssus that i bought a little while ago... The only problem is thats its too small for my hand thats why i switched to the Lachessis Its just that extra Width and the two thumb buttons makes the difference.
... Its only had around Half an hour to an hour usage...So its still effectivly new. I have tried to ebay four times At a £15.00 Buy it now and still have failed to sell it...So right now it's just collecting dust. Its basic as you require.... |

Re: Roccat vs Razer
ok, sorry for doing this, but couldnt help but notice your mention of a price limit..
i been using a Sharkoon Fireglider (about £25 retail i think) for a couple months now, and it's a real real nice mouse actually ![]() took some getting used to (it's quite long, whereas my previous mouse was short & fat) but it's well packed feature wise, and build quality is right there or thereabouts ![]() just thought i'd give you something else to chew on is all ![]() edit: when you say "needs to be basic" is that basic-ness dictated by the amount of money you have to spend, or do you have a specific want of a 3 button mouse, just a real nice 3 button mouse ?? just curious..

Re: Roccat vs Razer
If you want basic, go for the razer.
If you want a few more buttons to play with, its the Roccat. Having said that, you dont need to compromise if its all about cost. The Logitech G500 and Cooler Master Inferno are both in that price bracket and each provides the full gaming experience in terms of buttons/config etc. Here is the Inferno: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/review...roduction.html and here it is for £32 Scan.co.uk: SGM-4000-KLLN1-GP - Coolermaster Storm Inferno Gaming Mouse, Black, Red LED's, 4000dpi, 128K Memory |

Re: Roccat vs Razer
I got my other half's opinion as she knows the recipient better and she reckons the Sharkoon Fireglider. I use that for gaming on my laptop and it works pretty well; I can get accurate headshots
It's also nearly £10 cheaper.Oh well, thanks for the input anyway - I would've gone with the CM Storm otherwise.
