Boot trouble other day
So the other night I boot up my computer and everything was normal, it was displaying the voltages as it usually does but the "VBAT" voltage was blank/blinking and it just sat there and wouldn't enter windows. I manually restarted the computer and everything was fine and my VBAT read 3.90and went straight to windows. Is this anything to worry about?
Not sure if it matters but it was very cold in my room at that time. I was just about to order a new processor, but now I'm kind of worried that it might be a warning sign of something failing. biostar 790GX am2+ amd phenom x5 9850 2 2GB A-data ram, dual channel corsair 600w PSU HD 4850 |

Well.. it could be a bad solder somewhere on your motherboard. Metal expands with heat and retracts when it gets cold.
If that is the case then it IS something to worry about because it will only get worse with time. Then again it might be something else. This was just my instinctive reaction. |

Re: Boot trouble other day
Dang, I was hoping maybe the CMOS battery was just acting funky or that its just one of those random things. It was the first time my computer didn't boot normal and I had this computer for about 2 years now

Re: Boot trouble other day
I replaced the CMOS battery and it seems to have fixed the problem so far

Re: Boot trouble other day
I was gonna suggest that it might be the CMOS battery but its hard to be certain and Liqourice's would be more spot on than the battery.
