EEK! My Gateway FPD 1730 Power on button broke lol

Well after almost into 8 year of that monitor. My monitor power on button broke but monitor still on lol. I'll bet there no way how fix button like that is there? All I can do is unplug the whole monitor hehe.

Can you swap the power button with the reset button? I did that with my dad's old case when his power button died. Sadly, pretty much everything else on the case stopped working in the end anyway but at least it got a few more months' life out of it.
It's just a simple cable swap if you can live without the reset button.

at this point i would assume there is no chance of a warranty so you could open up the case of the monitor and solder in a new button and mount it in a different spot preferably on the back so it doesn't accidentally look bad. if you do this just make sure it is a momentary switch and not a toggle one.
