emu aps ecard and live!drive compatibility

old hardware can be such a pain...

anyhow, i'm running my emu aps pc545 rev 4 pci soundcard on my asus p4c800-e motherboard with vista ultimate and using the kx drivers - everything works, no problems.

my issue is that i purchased this soundcard back in '00 or '01 and it was the package that only included the drivers from emu, the manual, and the card itself - no edrive.

i've got 2 event ps8 studio monitors attached to the card currently and there are no issues with the sound at all. but because i don't have an edrive, i have no powered mic-pre - which is a major issue for me these days.

in before someone tells me to just spend the hundred bux on an emu 1818 or whatever, i'd like to find out if i can purchase an old creative sb live!drive (I) and get it to work with this card, as a 25-30$ purchase is preferred to another hundred bucks on a sound card i don't need as this one (technically) works.

i'm somewhat tech savvy, but i don't really do hardware level repairs.

any information would be greatly appreciated - i've spent the better part of 6 months searching for an edrive to purchase and had no luck whatsoever.
