Plug DVI-D male to HDMI female adapter to DVI-I female output of my video card?

Would the following setup be possible?

Video card -> DVI-I female output --> DVI-D male to HDMI female adapter --> HDMI male-to-male cable --> HDMI female input --> LCD Monitor.

Correction:

Video card -> DVI-I Dual Link female output --> DVI-I (or D) Dual link male to HDMI female adapter --> HDMI male-to-male cable --> HDMI female input --> LCD Monitor.

Also, for the DVI-HDMI adapter, would it be better if the adapter's DVI male was 'I' dual or 'D' Dual?

Re: Plug vga cable to LCD monitor's DVI

Just go get a DVI to HDMI cable and be done with it like I did. No ifs, buts or maybes when you buy the right thing in the first place and you don't have a string of daisy-chained adapters.

One DVI-D Single link to HDMI female adapter is cheaper than a DVI to HDMI cable no?

But to add the more adapters that are used, this would lead to a deterioration of quality...

Its best to go direct form the GC to the HDMI port in one quality cable.

I done this before (Non HDMI) with a DVI-I Extention... Never lasted more than half an hour.. due to the Line that looked like the screen were missing a few millimeters of pixels that stretched across the center of the screen..

Went away when i bought a longer cable shortly afterward..

Re: Plug vga cable to LCD monitor's DVI

Could you please try creating a new post in the forum for us to help you with? And also...you have provided near no details. Could you describe your issue to us a little more? We're gladly willing to help (I'm sure....).

Edit: also curious how many weeks old a post must be before I can start calling out necrophiliacs.
