Best Wireless Gaming Mouse

As it says on the tin - what do you think is the best wireless gaming mouse to go for, ignoring value-for-money?

I've tried a few different ones. IMHO, you can't beat a wired mouse if you are gaming with a mouse at all.

Re: Best Wireless Gaming Mouse

Definite personal choice in this case, taking wireless over wired. I find even the more gentle taps on the cable distracting. At home I use a Sidewinder X8, which charges using a magnetic cable. When the cable's connected a slight jolt on a monitor or anything like that is a distraction, which I find annoying if there are too many.
Most of the time, I can't deny, there are no obstacles and the wire is fine but those times that it does happen I can't ignore. Call me picky but that's my personal experience.

Re: Best Wireless Gaming Mouse

I don't consider myself a 'hardcore' gamer, but I do/have played a lot of HL, HL2, Farcry, Fallout2, FONV, and other shoothers. All in SINGLE PLAYER.

I'v really liked the MX Revolution, and now that Bluetooth versions of it that coms with the MX 5500 Blutooth KB/Mouse Combo.

Unlike a lot of folks, I use the SETPOINT drivers, but then I also use UBEROPTIONS, which install ontop of the setpoint drivers. UberOptions allows you to make a profile for any applications you want, and allows for programming EVERY button on the Revolution mouse.

With as many buttons as the mouse has, I rarely have to use any keys on the KB other than the WSAD (which I always re-assign to the up, down, left, right arrows anyway).

Re: Best Wireless Gaming Mouse

The Logitech G700 is a very nice wireless mouse:

Failing that, the Razer Mamba is impressive... like a DeathAdder but without wires and it comes in the best box ever... EVER!

Re: Best Wireless Gaming Mouse

How does the RAT 9 compare against the other wireless mice? The customisability of the mouse seems to put it in high regards, despite the looks.
There have been quite a few disputes with the RAT 9 vs Razer Mamba. Are the any opinions on that matter?
