Easily achievable if the PC lives in a house full of smokers and doesn't get cleaned on a regular occasion. One year in a house of smokers could provide thick dust for the PC.

A couple of those look like what Tyrsonswood posted after the flood. Others are really bad, though I have to be honest and admit that the mesh in front of intake fans inside my case has occasionally (when I didn't clean it for 6-7 months) resembled some of that stuff, but I never had that sort of buildup on the cards and I only "grow" normal gray dust.

i've seen worse

OLD farm houe
Wood Burning Furnace
Windows Left open the moment temperatures are favorable
Setup near Laundry Room
Left running every day 24 hours a day for 14 years
etc....

had 6 inches of dirt in the bottom of the case... cpu fan had stopped... running windows 95..

somehow managed to keep running but exceptionally poorly...

oh my, i think some people would have problems seeing the computer under the dust on a few of those, does remind me to check the desktop at home though

My computers grow very little dust even in long periods like 3-6 months, I suppose that's because I'm very clean and keep my room clean all the time but I've dealt with PC's like that when I used to work as a technician at Futureshop, nasty to deal with, I'll tell you that, cleaning them is a pain. And like Judas said the CPU fan has always gotten so clogged with dust it's stopped altogether.

Looks like after two weeks, if I haven't cleaned my Xbox360 S + Kinect....

God damn Microsoft for making their Xbox stuff super shiny. Sony did the same mistake, but learned with slim and even removed those super annoying touch sensitive buttons.
