Flashing Dots & Lines on Display

Nevermind - my video cable was VERY SLIGHTLY loose going into the monitor. Problem solved.

I noticed a week or two ago flashing pixels when playing videos. Nothing major just a slight annoyance. I took out my video card and cleaned & reseated then re-arranged cables in an attempt to reduce possible interference and the issue seemed to go away.

Yesterday I did a system re-install and noticed that the issue was back. Again not a big problem just some flickering lines of dots. On the HH page in particular where the glossy graphics are on the headers.

Turned on my PC this morning and my screen is awash with green flickering dots and on white dialogue boxes purple flashing lines of dots.

I'm assuming my video card is fooked but before I take it back to the shop has anyone else experienced this problem?
