Re: Which among these is best???

I would go with the Corsair 600W Power Supply - Model CMPSU-600GSUK ,

I had to google it, but that's the GS600 which is a step above the CX600.

Re: Which among these is best???

The Seasonic would be acceptable. In fact, some Corsair PSUs (not the GS600 however), are made by Seasonic.

One reason for going with the Corsair over the Seasonic is that the Corsair has 48 AMPS available on the +12v vs 34 AMPS on the Seasonic.

AMPS on the +12v are importamt when you are looking at the higher end vid cards. Especially if you are thinking of going with a SLI or Crossfire setup.

Corsair just doesn't make a 'bad' PSU, they are all very high quality. which makes it easy to recommend them.

Also, in the unlikely event you do need custoner service, Corsair's is second to none.

Lastly...I'm an unrepentant CORSAIR FANBOY when it comes to their PSUs.

Re: Which among these is best???

jeese.. not sure what exactly i'd have to do to warrant 1200AX model.... i can't super load my 1000HX atm already..

even with 3 4870x2's.... i had lots of room left over on the amperages..

Re: Which among these is best???

the highest load i've put my computer under was 940 watts draw from the wall.

that's excluding the monitors and other devices...

this is the rating my APC UPS gave me which confirmed with a multimeter is with a 1-3 watt variance. so very accurate i'd say.

At near full load... i get roughly 16 minutes of battery backup time.... which i'd say is good considering.

Re: Which among these is best???

as long as i can load it to at least 600w, i think i can get my money's worth... 92% efficiency is nice to have.

Re: Which among these is best???

I'm running 2x 4870's with my HX620. I'm not really sure just how hard I'm pushing it. I'm also running 3x HDDs, a DVD burner, a 3.5 FDD, the Creative front audio panel, and the Koolance Exos off of it.

I decided to upgrade a bit to the AX750 for my new build, which will most likely still have the 2x 4870s unless I can talk "The War Department" into letting me get a 6950.

Re: Which among these is best???

I...have a Sparkle 1000W. Now, before you go all bonkers on me, it is gold certified (91% efficiency I believe) and it was a good amount cheaper than the HX1000, and Corsair hadn't released their AX series yet. It also has six 12v rails. Yes, 6, with a 100A peak

And I agree with OldB. For the cost, it's quite good.
