Need advice on new PSU

Hey all I need a new psu for my pc and am confused on what to get.
I just upgrade to a 450gts ( Newegg.com - Galaxy 50SGH8HX3QMZ GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) GC Version 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card )

For my PC I have ( Asus Essentio CG5270-BP003 Review - Desktops - CNET Reviews )

I see that the psu multi rail at 17v/16v on the 12v this is inside ( YeongYang - GPS-400BB-A ATX 12V Switch Power Supply - Professional manufacturer of computer case )

I read that the minimum req on the 12v is 24 amps. So I'm looking to get a single rail psu as I hear that's better. Any thoughts? I was looking at this idk if its good and supports my pc. Newegg.com - Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W Continuous @40°C,80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply

Anything around that price range is good and im up for suggestions. TIA

Newegg.com - CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 (CMPSU-600CX) 600W ATX12V v2.3 Active PFC Power Supply

Quality wise this will beat the Rosewill like a rented mule.

If you can spend a bit more (89.00) then the TX650 is a bit better speced with a higher rating on the +12v:
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

In either case, with their track record, it's pretty much impossible to go wrong with a Corsair PSU.

Re: Need advice on new PSU

Firstly, single rail isn't necessarily better. There are advantages to both single and multiple rail designs, but generally single rails are what I'd go for, so I'm not going to argue with your conclusion.

Secondly, 600W is excessive. The Corsair CX500W would be fine, as would the 430W most likely, but I see that Newegg has a deal on the CX600 right now, so that probably makes sense.

Remember that once you have a PSU with enough 12V ampage and total power output, quality is more important than adding on additional watts that you don't need, and in this sense a Corsair is a good unit to buy... however, I should warn that OldB is (not unjustifiably) a Corsair fanboy of sorts. As such, here's some decent alternatives, that should compete well with the Corsair units:

Newegg.com - SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE ST50F-ES 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Re: Need advice on new PSU

Thanks for the help. It looks like I have to go with the 650TX, because the other 3 PSU's have a 24pin main connecter, and the 650TX has a 20+4pin main connector ( the same as my current PSU ). I don't know if that is something I should lookout for? If so I'll get the 650TX.

Re: Need advice on new PSU

All Asus G43 boards use 24 pin connections, so you don't need to worry about that. Either 24 pin or 20+4 pin will work fine.
