??? DIY AMD + ATI vs MacBook Pro

Hello there

so I have 2 computers and wanted your opinion in whitch one you think is best for gaming

MacBook Pro
C2D 2.8Ghz
4GB DDR3
Nvidia 9600m GT 512MB
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 16MB
Windows 7 Pro

vs

DIY
AMD Phenom II x2 550BE 3.1Ghz
Asus M4A785TD-M EVO
Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR3
ATI HD 4650 1GB
WD 500GB 7200RPM 16MB
CoolerMaster Silent Pro 500W PSU
Windows 7 Pro


so witch one is the better to use for gaming

I would go with the desktop because you have the option of upgrading parts, as you gain more money to throw at it, to make it better suited for gaming. If you don't intend to upgrade later, you would probably be better off with the macbook pro just because of the amount of memory.

in 3Dmark vantage the DIY sores 8866.1 and the mac scores 7060.7

I'd say Desktop.

In addition to what others have said, you will have a better selection of games available to you.

Well considering the Desktop equivalent of the 9600GT-M is the 9500GT (clocked 10% higher for the core and 12% for shaders) can't beat the HD4650 in any benchmarks that I have seen I would have to say the Desktop by far is your best gaming rig.
