Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
Yesterday, I bought a Sparkle GTX 570 and last night installed it in my computer. After installing the drivers that required a reboot I had some bother getting back to Windows. I had to go into the Bios and and hit F10 and then save to get back to my desktop.
This morning I was totally unable to boot into Windows. The speed of the memory in my computer is 1333, it shows 1067 on the boot screen. My motherboard is a Foxconn Bloodrage GTI. I know this has something to do with the new video card, but I'm not sure what. Is there something in the bios that I might need to reset? What am I missing? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
did you completely remove the previous ATI drivers 100%...?
Update the bios? Doesn't sound like it's saving properly.. Foxconn here for me doesn't have a very reliable history...... I can't really say much beyond it.... if your setting 1333mhz and saving and then the machine boots and shows 1067.... something is definitely wrong.. and it MAY not entirely be the video cards fault. And you definitely don't have a problem with available power lol...

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
Yes, I completely removed the ATI drivers. At least to the best of my knowledge.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
Double check everything inside the case, you may have bumped something during the card install and disconnected a cable, shifted another card or bumped the memory.... something like that.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
When booting I see the Bios screen for the Nvidia card, the computer beeps once, then the boot screen shows, goes through it's sequence and then it goes to Window safe Mode screen which says Windows failed to load due to a recent hardware or software change. It wants to repair but doesn't, when I try to load Windows normally it just repeats the same process.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
You said that you previously had to go into the BIOS. Have you tried resetting the BIOS back to defaults?

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
Just thought you guys would like to know that I've solved my problem, or at least I hope I have. After I got home from work tonight I opened up my computer and reset my CMOS (or VBAT as it's called on my Foxconn motherboard). After that I was able to get back to my desktop.
Thanks for your help and suggestions, guys. Appreciate it.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
Even if you're 100% sure you know what you're doing in the BIOS and what you've done is safe, if you can't boot into Windows afterwards, reset the BIOS (or, at least, set all to defaults).

Everything is pretty much set at default except the memory timings which have to be set manually. Even though I've set the timings and the multiplier correctly, the boot screen still shows 1067 instead of 1333 when booting up. I can't figure out what I've missed.

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
load up CPUZ and check the current memory settings..
sometimes some bioses report information inaccurately.. an example of which i recently had was DDR1 showing up at running at PC2100 and in single channel mode... even though in windows with cpuz and what i had set in bios shows it running at PC3200 speeds and in dual channel.... and the performance was running what should be pc3200 dual channel...

Re: Unable To Boot Into Windows This Morning
I got the memory problem figured out also, I needed to set the CPU Uncore Multplier to double of the Memory Multiplier. My memory multiplier is 10x, so I set the CPU Uncore Multiplier to 20x and now I'm where I want to be.
