Can't find Windows Folders

Hi All:

I removed a sata HDD from a old Compaq Presario and placed into a Rosewill RX358 external USB enclosure.

All runs fine, however I can only see a few folders; system32, winx etc. I can not see d:\windows or documents and settings etc. Hence I can not get to any documents, videos or photos. The HDD shows 3.5g used, 541mb free. I have show hidden files enabled.

The Presario and the computer the external is hooked into both have XP. Did I do something wrong? The other system had a blown mobo so is not accessible to re-install it's HDD. Any ideas how I can get to those folders?

Thanks
Chops
Addendum: I gave up. The drive had dup partitions, so I used TestDisk to find and extract everything. Reformatted the drive and everything works smooth as silk.
