computer doesn't come out of sleep

Hey guys I just upgraded my system with an ssd and now it won't come out of sleep mode so I just shut down all the time. any idea what is wrong?

Sleep mode is the first thing I disable as it's never caused anything but problems.....

As for you new problem since the SSD install I'll take a random guess the stupid "sleep mode" is waiting for a disk to spin up. Since it's an SSD it's never going to. 2 cents....

Have a look at this page at Kingston to see if it might fit with one of the drives for which there might be a firmware update. http://www.kingston.com/support/ssdnow/default.asp

The JMicron controller which the drive uses might be having issues with resuming from sleep mode. It's possible that the SATA interface driver can also be involved, so if there is no firmware update you could try switching from either Windows's own SATA driver for the interface, or the one from the chipset manufacturer which is AMD in this case; depending on which one is being used right now.

At worst, starting up should be fairly fast with this drive at least.
