Re: First Build
That looks like a very high end system. I don't see any issues. You will of course pay a premium for the GTX590. I would go for a 2GB GTX580 if you want a high end card but there is no such thing as future proofing when it comes to GFX cards - still I would expect to get 2 years from that card.

Re: First Build
Hi! That looks like a nice build in the making.
I'd go with the 580 as the GPU, it has plenty of power, it doesn't rely on SLI, it's a lot cooler and, since you're obviously buying high end stuff, by the time it needs to be replaced, you'll probably want something new with support for some future DX anyway. As for the motherboard, I don't think you'll make a mistake with either of them.

Re: First Build
Well, if you need to choose something more reasonably priced, cards such as GeForce GTX 560 and Radeon HD 6790 are very usable at 1920x1080 (check out the graphics card Reviews section
). Getting something more powerful will just give you a bit of extra future proofing, ability to run all games with AA and additional performance required for things such as Eyefinity, 3D gaming, PhysX...

Re: First Build
It does, but using those features adds more work for the card (for 3D, the performance might drop by half) so you may need to lower game detail or resolution on a card such as the 560.

What does this do?

Re: First Build
It depends a lot on your budget, but if money is an issue, there are a lot of savings to be made there. The 2600k is wasted for gaming and most other tasks - the 2500k is just as fast until you're using more than 4 cores.
I also agree that I'd go with a single 580 out of those graphics options, and for the reasons that he posted, but it would help to know what resolution you intend to game at, and also what things other than gaming you intend to use this PC for. Furthermore, I notice that you don't mention either a storage drive or boot drive - what did you have in mind?

Re: First Build
It is stupid to have a high end rig without a SSD. I'm sorry, it just is. Even just a 60gb for Windows (like I have) is needed.
Likewise, I would vouch for a high-end GTX 580. The ASUS Matrix Platinum GTX 580 or Galaxy GTX 580 both come with amazing coolers that are pretty quiet (the Platinum is actually so OC'd out of the box it will smash any single GPU on the planet atm). Also...I had that case. Hated it. I would strongly recommend a different one if I were you.
