noise-cancelling cans anyone?
Looking for more advice from the audio people out there.
I am going to start traveling on long flights (4-5+ hours) bimonthly and also have to commute through the subway two hours a day -- my current pair of Sennheiser HD428s do a good job normally, but in high noise environments they start to lack in both sound production and noise blocking. I have a (self-imposed) budget of up to $300USD (preferably not that much). Any recommendations? I'm looking at the Sennheiser PXC350, Sennheiser PXC450, Bose QuietComfort 15, Bose QuietComfort 2, and AudioTechnica AthanC7's.

Re: noise-cancelling cans anyone?
From online reviews I'd recommend any one of these:-
1. Sennheiser PXC 350 2. JVC HA-NC250 3. Denon AH-NC732 4. Sony MDR-NC500D 5. Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b QuietPoint

Re: noise-cancelling cans anyone?
Looking at #2,3, and 4, I can't say I love any of them terribly much. They seem to lack in each department (somehow). I would go for the PXC350/450, but the lack of removable cord is worrying (the only time I've ever had cans fail on me is something happening to the cord). Likewise, Bose has an amazing warranty on their QC series (3 years full, after that, $50 and they'll give you the newest QC model...), while Sennheiser/AT have good-but-noticeably-less policies.
