HDMI Switch That Works???

I bought a 3-port KMD HDMI switch last evening and it simply does NOT work. I did, FINALLY, get the #1 Input Port working which is fed from my second PC. I switched some HDMI cables around to no avail.

I'll be returning this one before work today for a full refund.

The main reason for this, as you may presume, is that I have a few more HDMI sources than does my LCD TV have HDMI Inputs. To this point I've had to unplug and switch cables whenever going from one source to another.

So, anyone wish to recommend a switch that works that doesn't also cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks!

Re: HDMI Switch That Works???

I have one for months now, it comes with a remote control. Input up to 3 devices. 100% satisfied with it. I use it extensively every day. (meaning switching).
I have my PC, PS3, Xbox 360 connected to it and my monitor.

It's this one

Thanks, I may have to resort to either Amazon or Newegg to get one. But, I mostly prefer to buy locally for the very reason that, like this time, if it doesn't work, I can get my refund immediately with the return of the product.

Re: HDMI Switch That Works???

I have one sitting around still at home. It worked really well when I used it (I had a 22" TV with one HDMI) but I haven't used it since I got a TV with three HDMI inputs.
Don't get an automatic switch because they throw a wobbly if you have more than one input turned on at a time. I had that problem, sent it back and got a 3-way with a remote. I wouldn't recommend any one in particular, just one that has a manual switch.

Yes, the one I did get is a manual with a remote. But, even this remote was flaky. I would have to press....press....press whichever button I wanted just to get the switch to change. Needless to say, I won't be getting this same brand again at all.

You are welcome.
The remote tends to not be the best ever, but as long as you aim it to the receiver (seperate receiver with a cable=win) it works. It also has a button on the device itself to manually change it, also no problem working.
This switcher works also with USB cable for power (supplied), which is what I do. One less power brick to worry about.

For me it is the excellent switcher. Small, works 100% of the time, cheap and it supports 1080p. Many of the switchers do not even support 1080p.
Oh yeah, and cheap.
A warning though, it doesn't support HDMI 1.4. So if that is what you are looking for, look elsewhere.
