HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx or not a 1245dx ???

Hi all I'm new here so bare with me first of all before you all any of you give me any grief over it i was born with a learning disability i don't spell real well and cant use grammar so ill apoligise just this once and hope you all understand as every forum i join i leave because of the abuse i get over it i hope its different here.

OK i just brought a new HP Pavilion dv7 - 1245dx off of a guy on eBay called antique-australia i asked him what my comp was after i got it and he said its a dv7 i said yes i know that but what model is it he couldn't tell me yes i know the guys shonky so i found out after i tried to get my 3 months warentee and all he wanted me to do was take something in return for the warenty he had on it and wait for the 3 year warenty to start that i payed an extra $149.00 for after he tried that one on me i thought if he is that shonky i don't want him touching it.

I think its a pavilion dv7 - 1245dx but not sure is there somewhere on it i could find that out as i need a new monitor for it i broke this one earlier today.

Do any of you know were i can get a good priced monitor for it ??.

As i said i thought it was a 1245dx till i went and had a look at a picture of one and it didn't look the same I'm new at laptops so haven't a clue what I'm really doing or were to find anything on them.

if it is a 1245x what year is it like what year did they come out in he said on the add it was brand new but then i see somewhere before some guy brought one and it was refurbished before 2009 as i said this guys shonky as so who would know.

i payed $1079.00 for it delivered to my door and the specs it has are as followed.

When i got it, it started to freeze and carry on so he asked me to reinstall the factory image witch i did and it made no difference that's when he offered me a car charger to step over his warranty and use hp's that i brought sepretly.

do any of you know why it would be freezing and when i dose is makes a honorably sound like its arking out somewhere.

Also i think the battery stuffed as it only goes for an hour and goes flat the seller swears black and blue its a brand new comp never used and it did come in the hp box with all the stuff and in a plastic bag so dunno.

but if any of you can understand what I'm saying please a little help would be grate thanks in advance OBieezx11

try to find the serial number or part number in bottom of the computer and search that from the HP/Compaq site and will tell you the exact model for laptop.

or

for the monitors, since it has broken screen, why not just take it out and see the part number and search the number online with price?
