Need sata 2 ssd

Ok I haven't had a working computer since June, so I'm that far behind on reading reviews. I want to replace very old platter drives with new ssd's but I'm not planning a full system rebuild for another year. My motherboard is old and has no sata 3! Suggestions?

Get SATA-3. You said it yourself, you're rebuilding next year so get a SATA-3 harddrive now, it'll still perform at SATA-2 speeds.
I can't vouch for any SSD in particular, they're all good to me as long as you get a good price-to-performance ratio.

SATA3 drives are backwards compatible with SATA2. Get whatever you want

OCZ would probably be a good choice, they have the easiest firmware updating tool etc.

Corsair maybe? I've had to boot into Linux to update my OCZ Sandforce drive. But maybe their non-Sandforce drives are easier to update.
