best usb 3.0 docking station

Hey all I am in the market for a docking station and as my desktop has usb3.0 I would like to get the most speed I can out of it as I am rather annoyed with usb2 speeds right now.
So any experience or recommendations would be great

Re: best usb 3.0 docking station

I'm using a USB 3.0 cable adaptor right now rather than a dock, having had two low cost "noname" docks break on me within months. I'd recommend going for some brand name dock or consider a less expensive cable solution. Having the drive lying down also helps to block some of the noise, as opposed to how the docks have the drive upright like an antenna. There are also cable adaptors with SATA on one side and IDE on the other, handy in case you'd ever need to connect an old drive. Or like the one I have now, two SATA ports for connecting more than one drive when necessary. The box said Viewcon but to the best of my knowledge it's basically a "noname" part. It's been great anyhow, and USB 3.0 makes the drives practically as fast as when connected straight to SATA.
