Replacing Video Board
I want to replace my existing video board with an upgrade. I haven't done this in so long I am not sure of the correct steps. I would appreciate the steps to remove the existing drivers, remove the board, replace the board and install the new drivers. As I remember, I need to uninstall the current driver, reboot so that a generic driver can be installed. Remove the board, replace the board and install the new drivers. What I don't remember is that after I uninstall the current drivers, what will prevent them from reinstalling since they are still stored on the computer. Any help will be appreciated.

Once you uninstall the current video drivers, go into the Display Control Panel and change the Adapter to Standard VGA.

And if you don't consider it too much of a pain, some would recommend you reformat/re-install Windows. But you can go without it first, and see whether any problems arise.
