NT Authority/System Error

Every time my cousin starts up his computer he gets an NT Authority/System Error and it forces him to shutdown in 1 minute. Anyone know why it does this?

Without knowing more about the OS and the problem, what you have told points to an error in a security policy. Did your cousin happen to play with any of the policy's?

Most of the things I have found point that to be some sort of policy error..... still looking though....... You could try and log in as admin and see if that will work.

heh, i doubt he even knows how, and my friend pretty much jsut knows how to start up her computer

on the error box he said it says "Windows must now restart becuase the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."

Hmmm... do you know if any software was installed or removed lately? and RPC can be associated with many different programs.

Digging further there is a chance there could be a virus or something on his systems. Check this page out. Not sure if this is it with out seeing the system. http://www.computing.net/hardware/ww...rum/15396.html
