Nope, patched up a few weeks before the worm came out and none of the computers at home were hit. It was a worm that I could care less about personally, but the little bastard that created it should be publically flogged.

We here at work were not hit untill 7 people brought in laptops that were infected...... BUT the nice thing was that the worm just stayed on those 7 laptops and did not spread. We noticed that these 7 had it when trafic from them was pushing the network off the meters...... But like I said, these 7 systmes were the only ones infected.....

Next step will be SP3 .... i know it doesn't makes sense and it's hard for me to explain but if you would be here you'd understand. trust me one this one.
Okay, I think I see what you're saying now. I never thought about the possibility of a service pack breaking applications, even though this IS Microsoft we're talking about. It sounds like you've got your work cut out for you..

I was just informed that the network were I work has become infected, and that the entire network will be up and down until they get it fixed... I'm not exactly sure how they plan on fixing it, though. I'd download the patch on the machine I use (one less computer to worry about), but the security settings won't allow it. Maybe it's for the best to let the IT guys worry about it.. they get paid a hell of a lot more than I do, anyway.

We have 3 machines here all running WinXP and 1 running 98se. Obviously the 98 machine was not infected. But we didn't get bit by the Blaster Worm on our XP machines either. It pays to visit Windows Update frequently.

No, I wasn't hit by this worm . . . I've never gotten any worm/virus running no a-v prog either....
For MSBlaster, I guess I was already patched, and it can't get through a router anyway, so it's all chronic and palm trees!!
