Norton 2004 release date

I have been a Norton user for years and have really liked systemworks. My question is why do almost all of the computer technicians state that these utility plackages do nothing but screw up the system and are not needed and should not be used. Anybody have any ideas?

i can answer that question easily

money

if you have a good system utility suite and some independant utilities like Ad-Aware and others then you can keep your system clean and running fast.

I run a computer repair and sales company and we arent like the usual breed.

We offer a 3-year warranty on our systems with no added costs to the system and we build everything with only a 30% markup over the prices we pay for the hardware.

We are a low margin company with the hopes that the low margin will add up to more customers meaning more cash

Right now im doing just fine off what the business makes me and if it gets better might just not worry about working for any other companies in the future.

you only need a utility suite if you cheese up your system with useless garbage as most people do. when you are trying out new programs all the time and downloading tons of stuff from the internet problems arise. i install systemworks but only use it for antivirus.

You dont use ghost at all for making backups?

Most people would love ghost just for the fact that its a nice program and makes this alot easier

Plus you can get oem copies of systemworks for cheaper than just NAV alone costs.

I do tend to use the reg cleaning utility now and again on it
