Hurray my new stuff arrived!!

I just got and set up my new NF7-S, 512M of Mushkin pc3500 level 2 ram and a r9800. I put little heatsinks on the mofsets like many people suggested, and I ram sinked the ram on the card. Right now I'm reformatting the hard drive. Just to be a little weird I overclcoked the FSB to 166MHz and the ram to 200MHz at 2-2-2-5 timings and the CPUs at exactly 2Ghz from the 12x multi I gave it. I have it running at these semi agressive settings just for installing windows.

I can't wait to test this stuff out once I get windows installed.

Your gonna LOVE it dude, the NF7-S is AMAZING, can you give me a link to what/where you got those RAM sinks for the mosfets?

I'm gonna want to do the same, and put a Zalman on the northbridge, and put a 40mm fan on top.

Did you get the Zalman heatspreaders?

Oh man this is sweet. I just hit 200MHz fsb and the ram's at 200MHz at 2-2-2-5. There seems to be no limit to this board. I need to acctually try work on it. I reached these settings just by futzing around.

A very special 2100+. It defaults to 1.5v, and not only that its on the AUHIB steppping.

I have it running at 210MH now with the ram still at 2-2-2-5. The CPU is currently at 2210MHz.

EDIT: I'm acctually slightly worried about it because this new mobo detected it as 1.8V at default, but its still overclocking well and running cool.

Keep us posted on what you are able to get out of it. Would love to see some benchmarks on it. Also what cooler are you using?? The SLK-900u?

I can't it won't work with my cooling. The best one that does is the thermalright AX7.

Its at 35C right now with 1.825V. Using CPUburn it can go up to 43C, but CPUburn has always brought me higher temps than even a few hours of playing UT2K3 would bring.

If I break it, its just a reason to upgrade.

I hope this system will last me for a long time though. It has all top end parts. (Except for the cpu, sorta)

How do you make so much money while going to highschool? Just wondering, I worked after school every night for about 4 or 5 hours when I went to highschool- But I used the money to buy a car.

Congrats on the parts- must be nice.

Wont work with your cooling?? You lost me on that one. I dont understand what you are saying exactly. I have the same MB and I am using the SLK-900u on mine with a 80mm Tornado.

I have a custom built cooling setup. I'm testing it to see if it will last for at least 6 months, then I might start producing and selling them. I don't exactly want to say more than that because I don't want someone stealing my idea.

Lets see what that RAM can do. I bet you won't get over 225FSB synched. You'll need the VDD mod.
