Hi
Recently i upgraded my videocard to an Geforce2 MX/MX400 on monitor ADI MicroScan G66 been accepted and recognised by Winxp, after install properly and clean the Winxp SP1 1065, it really works fine, when the monitor goes on stand by after 5minutes without work, that's my selection on ScreenSaver power options properties, backing to it, i receive a monitor message as follows: "input signal out of range". I'd been on ADI FAQ page, they list this trouble and says in what to do "The monitor is or will be in protected mode". How can i handle this? I don't see anywhere a tool to turnoff the monitor protected mode. Somebody can help? The Geforce 2 drivers are updated, configured and working fine. Thanks in advance

Have you tried turning off those stupid power-saving features? Go into Control Panel, Power Options, and turn off System Standby. If that doesn't work, fiddle with the setting some more. Maybe you have a monitor that is old, or a board whose ACPI implementation isn't kosher. You may have to disable that all together.

Hi Javafox
Thanks very much for your tip. I've already founded that was the problem. But my monitor is an ADI Microscan G66, not too old not too young... works fine but in fact ADI didn't put yet new drivers for it to be accepted by winxp... Anyway, thanks a lot
