I am looking to change it when I buy a new CPU, any suggestions? I have already been recommended a Thermalright SLK 700 800 or 900 although i think the 900 doesn''t fit on my motherboard :|

The SLK 900 will not fit on your board, there just isnt enough room. But the SLK-800 will, and with a really good 80mm fan it will be the best cooling you can have without going to water cooling. There is only a narrow difference in temperature between the 800 and 900. If you want the best cooling you can have on air.......there really is only one choice for you until something else better comes out.

TO me the advantage of the 900 is that it bolts to board which is an advantage with A) the HS being so heavy and B) If you LAN game and travel with your PC bolting down the HS reduces the chance of a cracked Core do to HS rock. And in all truth you really don/t have to move 2 caps that far... Like I said only about .05

0.05mm? or cm? Either way, I'm not too keen on bending stuff on the board, and if the 800 temp diff really is not that much I might aswell go for the 800 as I am getting a laptop for lan gaming
