slk900U and the future

Ok so. I was looking for a heatsink that would be "upgrade proof" for at least awhile. So I was looking at the SLK900. I want to get the U being my last heatsink was injured due to my over zealous mounting... (damn bracket... most worthless peice of garbage in my pc) And the bolts are just handy.

However when looking at the current opteron boards, they do have mounting holes... though there obviously different and for things like ocz's new HS. There also seems to be quite a few little chips and bits directly around the processor. So I find myself wondering if anyone will come along with the 4 mounting holes.

If all else fails I'm sure I could remove the mounting bracket and replace it... but I was wondering if anyone had any info about it?
