Thank god for temperature protection!

Well my cooler just fell off and my cpu was bare while the computer was running, but thanks to the temperature protection the whole computer shut off like at the exact second the cooler fell off. Everything still works! I put my old 3 fan cooler on because its lighter. I can see why they have the weigt limits now.

Now I need to come up with some sort of special retention system for my new cooling system to make sure its safe. I think I already know what to do about it.

EDIT: whoa my temps are high now, 52C under load!

I'm not ready for that yet, I need to modify this HS to make it a little better. (I'm just full of ideas tonight)

EDIT:After the mod I'm getting load temps at 51C. Not only that, I came up with another idea while I was doing it.

EDIT2: Oh yeah! After the 2nd mod my temp dropped down to 48C, and this is at 2.06 volts!

What the hell heatsink are you using? Aren't you air cooled? And if you heatsink fell off then your vid card prolly got damaged.

Yeah, I'm air cooled. Are these good temps or crap? With my custom built cooler I got temps around 44 under load. (Better than my home made watercooling)

I have the Thermalright AX7 with 3 115CFM fans on it.

44 under load is good. 44 idle is kinda bad. Especially with 3 115cfm fans...... I mean, I have an SLK800 with just tornado at 3500 rpm pushing about 50cfm and running at 45C under full load.

This is under full load after a half hour.

EDIT:After a few hours the temp has reached 49C under full load.

EDIT2:After a whole night of stress testing the temp is 46C!?! I think I know why though, I turned on a fan to circulate air from outside into my room, while before my room was just stagnant hot air. (It gets very hot with 4 computers in one room)

EDIT3:I decied to drop it down to my old settings, and now its at 39C under load.
