the Y2k04 Bug ... is it lurking in your machine ?
Everyone ready for the year 2004 bug?
This was known back with the year2k bug but never mentioned Certain older pc's pcs and Macs etc.... when it gets to the end of 2004 instead of rolling to 2005 the computer rolls over to 1900 but for example in the case of my girlfriends g3 Mac it rolls over to 1904!!!!.... Many of the ones that survived the y2k bug will be hit by this one .....

Yea but that’s only software limited there buddy.... It’s more prominent with older machines…. There is hardware limits involved... The Real-Time Clocks … (the chip that keeps time on your pc/Mac/Whatever) Are quartz crystals like in a watch that keep time (based a, quartz vibrates/resonates @ a specific constant frequency when electricity is ran through a quartz crystal) along with some programming/other chips involved. It happens that many makers never though a head enough assuming every one would upgrade the instant it become available. Also assuming their hardware would never live long enough to live past the date. So they never programmed in dates past certain points. Those affected by those hardware limits. It doesn’t mater if there running windows (or what version) or Mac they will be affected. If you hardware only keeps time till 2004 12 pm Dec 31st, your software windows or whatever could keep time till the year 3000 for that matter and when you hit that date it will roll over to the next hardware year!!!! Which by default is 1900 or 1904 …!!!!!? IT’S NOT DETERMAND BY YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM! IT DETERMAND BY A TINY CHIP ON YOUR MOTHERBOARD!!!!!!
