Need Laptop, Yet Slim On Money

Well I need a laptop, school has come to the point of heavy writing and my teachers and I realize that the way I hold a pen isn't good at all. Causes pains in my entire arm after a while so I need a laptop. I'm looking for something refurbished because I know I won't afford one either way. I mainly need it for word processing but I want to be able to listen to mp3s and some mpegs or avis and not have it bog down the whole system. I'd prefer it to have an ati chipset, like a 32 meg solution. Higher than 1 ghz and at least 256mb ddr ram. I'd like a 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm hardrive (slim chance I know) but I'd rather have a 30 gig 7200 than a 40 gig 5400. Also since this is going to be like a heavily typed upon computer, and I mean HEAVILY TYPED UPON. The keyboard needs to be sturdy and decent. And the screen can't be blurry as hell or else I'll kill it. And I would really like decent sound, I don't know if there are many laptop solutions for sound these days but I want to be able to hear the difference between a 128 mp3 and a 320 mp3 lol. Well I guess that's it, any suggestions anyone? Like I said, price has to = low or else it no good. 1200 but preferably lower, WAY lower lol.
