Default Post My girlfriends new-semi high end rig.

With this build, I was going for upper-middle class speed and a colorfull case design.

Well here it is, specifications below:

Yes, that is a Compaq case sitting behind it, hollow though... thank god!

That front glowing panel automaticaly and randomly changes colors between Red-Blue, many different shades.

8 case fans(not including heatsink):
Intake: 4Front+1Side
Exaust: 2Rear+1Top+PSU

The Rig:
Enermax 350w (v1.2 w/ Copper Cable Shielding
P4 - 2.4B -on- P4PE DDR333
2x512mb DDR400@333(This of course... will change when I start having fun with what this system can do.
2x80gb 8mb WD drives(May do raid, not sure yet though)
Sapphire - Radeon 9500NP w/ Zalman Heatpipe (With hacked Omega drivers of course)
SoundMax Onboard 6.1(For now, will switch to an Audigy)

You might want to try stealthing the CD/DVD Drives real simple process all you need to do is cut the tabs off the insert you took out to put the Drives in and then you use some thick 2 sided tape, like the 2mm thick stuff and just layer it until it will stick to the door of the CD/DVD Drive and the Panel you removed the Tabs on. Do the same for the button to eject, but make sure to put something inbetween the tape and the button so the tape won't stick to it, and just adjust until everything sits pretty and is flush in the case and tapping the panel opens up the drawer. If you want more info on it You can PM and I should get it eventually, also most important part is removing the side taps on the insert because if you cut too much you are stuck with the results and make sure to not warp it when cutting.

That is a good idea. Even for my own case. My only question is, what is the best tool to cut it?

It's the 0302SL by iCute. A company I hadn't really heard of before, untill one day I wandered into a local store 'CompuCare' and they had it. I am really a fan of the construction. It dosen't have a removable motherboard tray, instead, it provides you with a lot more room behind the motherboard than I am used to. Nice for hiding some wirering.

Dremel or a hacksaw you don't want to use soemthing that snips because it can tend to bend the material
