i just bout a belkin wap and belkin wnic pcmcia card
i got the network working ok(thru my router) But, the configuration utility does not work correctly, and windows only recognizes it as a network card, not a wireless one so i can not change the connection speed(its at 11mps and it fades in and out) does anyone know of a way to fix im usin xp pro 333Mhz 192ram inspiron 3500 i know the driver isnt signed(the offical one) and that it doesnt tell windows that its wireless and thats where my problem is coming from i try using the configuration utility to change the speed but the link stays the same which means that my speed isnt really changing and its staying on 11mps anyway does anyone know howto fix this or another driver i can use instead of the offical one |

K win is suppost to se it is a network card(pcmcia card) . Now make sure the essid on the router and nic are the same. Now you should have some kinda utility that shows signal level and you can change the WEP encreption etc.... make sure if you have that on to have the same setting on both the router and config utility on the laptop. Also it would help me alot if i knew what router ya got. also the model # on the pcmca card
