Iridium is on a distinguished road

Anyone know of a good flatpanel monitor...

Somewhere around 17"-19" that is a good gaming monitor. I am moving into a new apartment soon and I am looking to keep the footprint of my gaming system a bit smaller then it is at the moment. I have a nice 19" CRT at them moment, and I love the crispness of the CRT, unfortunately with the apartment comes a bit smaller room for my PC's. So, anyone have a good experience with a certain type/brand/size that they could share with me? Thanks!

Depends on how much money you want to spend. If I were to purchase a 17" monitor, I would probably purchase the NEC/Mitsubishi LCD1760V for around $400:

I happened to help my friend build a computer for his mother, we picked this monitor. It's SCHWEET!!! I don't see any afterglow playing fast action games such as Tron and RTCW.
  • Size: 17"
  • Contrast Ratio: 450:1
  • Response Time: 16ms (typical)
  • Native Resolution: 1024x768
