[http://www.excaliberpc.com/product_i...oducts_id=1094] Model # AXDA1800DLT3C Stepping Code : JIUHB:0311MPMW (guaranteed, or your money back) Default 1.5V CPU Speed: 1.53GHz Cache: 384KB Bus Speed: 266MHz Tray Processor only $69.00 - I never knew they made a kickass XP1800+ chip, I just noticed it on excaliberpc.com while browsing. Pretty cool, I might get one to see how it overclocks.

Even better than that, check this out: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...82E16819103363
Its a mobile proc that fits in the standard mobo. Only 45watts of heat dissapted!!! Probably one of the best overclockers. |

When I get paid for this most recent build I have done I'll pick one of those up with my new barton.
(This new build so going past 3000$ and they don't pay me untill its finished, but they keep adding and changing stuff from it so its taking a long time, and right now I'm in a few hundred of dollers dept untill I get paid because of the costs of all of the parts) |

Look at this!! Newegg.com seems to be selling more mobile versions of AMD's cpus (look, it's 'Athlon XP Mobile')! "45W MOBILEAthlon XP 2500+ 1.88ghz 266fsb"?!!?! It still has 512k cache on it, at least that's what the description says. In fact the 2400+ (at 2.0 ghz) has the same amount of cache and is cheaper?!

Another point to note, if you go to the PICTURE of the Mobile XP1700
The number 9245004270156 (as close as I can read it) http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/dis...319192135.html If this holds good, it was originally made as a 2700 ! Is it only the lowered voltage that makes it a Mobile - would the 2700 normally be running a higher voltage? |
