Well there isnt a PowerDVD 6
However there is PowerDVD 4 (which later became PowerDVD XP) and PowerDVD 5 The differences between these 2 is the inclusion of better DivX support in PowerDVD 5 and better video and audio options We actually just bought 5 recently and it definitely rocks

I have used and like PowerDVD 4 quite a bit. I did try out PowerDVD 5 recently, and still have it one one machine, but there seems to be someplayback issues with SVCD's. I tried the patch, and still no good. Really annoyed me actually as I like the improvements in the interface of 5.

I have the PowerDVD XP version and it works fine for DVD's, I would like to checkout version 6 though, is the demo limited to 5 minutes of playback?
