arrow Pentium 4, 2.6 GHz, 400 FSB - Opinions Please

My current mobo, ABIT BD7, will support up to this CPU. (Socket 478.) I'm interested in hearing from others who have or have HAD this CPU and what you think of it.

For those into Overclocking, how does it perform?

Thanks!

Generally the Northwood A's were quite good overclockers but I'm not sure about this particular chip as it is already at the top end of the Northwood A range. My m8 has a 1.6 thats he runs at 2.4 though (on air)

The 2.4 Northwood B would be your best bet. You should be able to hit 3Ghz, at least.

I am currently running my 2.4B processor at 3.25 gig, stable and rock solid at 45*C full load with a slk-900U for cooling, and loving it!

Isn't this a 533 FSB chip? I have to stay with 400 FSB per specs for the BD-7.

The best I've been able to do, with any stability, is 1.76. Anything over that and things get messed. My current CPU isn't a good O'Ckr.
