I Need new p4 MOBO

Hey,

SUp guys and girls. Im looking to get a new mobo. Cuss the one i have just dont like the 9800 PRO. I am looking for a board that can take up to a 3.06 Ghz p4 cpu , uses ddr ram at least 333mhz , has ata 133, usb 2.0 and agp 8x. I would also like if the bios are tweakable. like agp voltage ect.. unlike the one i have now where all i can change is the cpu fsb and ram fsb. Please post what board you think i should get with these options. Thanks

Here is a ASUS Click Here or this MSI Click Here

Both seem to have the same chipsets. but the ASUS looks like you can tweak it more , and the MSI is better qulity.

I wouldn't recommend any P4 board that don't use an Intel chipset.

Go for the Abit IS7 (with RAID and FireWire) or Abit IS7-E (no RAID or FireWire). Both run around $100 or so at www.newegg.com.

Those boards both carry the PAT-enabled version of the Intel 865PE chipset, which is the little sister to the more expensive Intel 875PE chipset.

in my opinion, Asus P4P800 is a lot better....that is if you're using their Ai and Hyperpath features....

you must be confusing the p4p800 with something else. i have one. it does have native sata raid support through the ich5r chipset. & defifinetley supports 3.2 p4. the only diff between it & the p4p8oo dx is no ata raid & firewire header. & about $25. very good chance these mbs' will support the 1st 2 vers of prescott to!

why on earth would you want to pay premium price for a 3.2? or are you just looking at upgrade path?
one other thing. if you get either of these boards & are planning on overclocking DO NOT get pc 3500 mem! either get high quality pc4000 or high quality 3200. i made the huge error of buying twin ocz 3500(very good memory) because i did not really research how high people are clocking 2.4c(mine is at 3.0 w250fsb) with good air cooling.
because of the way the dividers work i am actually running my mem at 400! wich means i should have spent more or less. either way, bacause of my lack of due diligence i got the wrong mem speed!

wished i could afford that ocz gold 4000!
