Network Help
I need to know if anyone knows how to make an account so it is only available for a certain time of day, and for a specified amount of time, and once that time limit is up, the account is locked out for the rest of the day. I am running Windows 2000 Server. Also if i there is a way so the user cannot get to the control panel..if you know what i mean..??..any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Access the users properies dialog box and then choose the Account tab. In there you should see a button for logon hours. set what you need in there... be carefull not to lock yourself out....
For the control panel lock out you will need to go into Group Policy's in the MMC and set that up for a group then add that user to the group. Also I would suggest getting the "Windows 2000 Administrator's Pocket Consultant" Barnes & Noble It is a butt saver of a book!!

You can choose the logon hours like Krazy1 explained. But giving users only half an hour time to work is only possible by scripting i think.
But it shouldn't be to hard to make i think.

Hey you are welcome... glad I can help I am not sure you can limit a log on to 30 min. I think the min. is 1 hr. As for a warning, you would have to script something up for that. I am not sure windows gives you a warning.... One thing to be sure you set for this is Forcibly Disconnect. If you don't set this users will be able to stay logged on past the time you have set....
