The thing is, that i just discovered that one of my ocz 2700 memorys is the rev.3 memory, that can handle more aggressive timings while the other one i got is a rev.2 and can't even do cas2 with 4bank interleave activated.
My question is: would you prefer 256mb of aggressive timed memory or 512 mb of memory with just 4bank interleave activated? Regards /Cartman

I'd go with the 512 at less aggressive settings. The memory might not be as quick, but it's a hell of a lot more quicker than accessing the hard-drive to use the swap-file, and I don't think 256 is quite enough for XP to run comfortably. (IMHO!)

I would go for 512MB memory installed especially if using WinXP.
Where did you buy that memory, anywhere in sweden ? |

I'm getting 512 MB of PC2700 ram, should I get 2 sticks of 256 MB to get teh timings or a stick of 512 MB to get it all on a stick and for the price (slightly cheaper). I'll most likely be getting Samsung or OCZ memory (almost exactly the same, just availibility)

Everyday and gaming use 512mb will be sooooo much nicer than faster 256mb. ONLY go for the 256mb if your life is ruled by 3DM2k1 benchmarking! Trust me on this, I went through the same dilema myself. I had one stick that could overclock to 166mhz by itself but only 150 with the other stick. All my programs performed soooo much better with 512mb @ 150mhz and myself in general just felt faster
