Sonar audio recording / monitoring problem
Hi all --
When I try to record an audio track in Sonar, the other (existing) tracks copy onto the track along with my mic input while I'm tracking. I can mute the other tracks and this will prevent the problem from occurring but then I can't hear the backing tracks while I sing. (I'm using headphones by the way so the sound is not just bleeding from the room speakers!) So what I'm trying to do is to monitor selected tracks while I'm recording the audio and capture only the mic input to the new audio track. I think the solution must relate to kx DSP routing in some way and I've read the docs and tried a few things. Still no luck. I haven't upgraded to the latest kx version --maybe that's the problem? All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance. Cazar

A little more information:
- I'm not using the ASIO inputs in epilog (must mean I'm using WDM?). - Card is SBLive! MP3+. - Sonar 2.0. - Both MIDI and audio tracks transfer to the track I'm recording. By the way, kxproject, thanks for the great effort to fill the driver gap for so many people who've been left unsupported by Creative. Thanks again for any help.... Cazar |
