'Gunk Noise' on Hard drive

Hi

Occaisonally when load up Warcraft 3 and approach to play Battle.net, my hard drive makes this 'gunk' sound followed by a 'powering on, disc spinning up' sound which leads to my system freezing. I have scanned my hdds for any bad sectors and conducted online diagnostic tests but nothing has come up.
I have a gut feeling that it may be my power supply which is currently a 'generic' 400 Watt. I have 2 optical drives, 2 120 gb wdc hdds, 1 chassis, 1 blowhole and 2 front 80mm fans aswell as the CPU fan, and the motherboard plugged in.
Also I have many shared IRQs (see screenshot), could this be another problem to why the HDD just gives up? Please can you help me as I need to get it sorted in order to improve!

System Specs are in sig, if you want to know about any other details, just ask

I think you are right about your psu being the culprit. I tried to skimp on money and bought a generic 400 watt psu to replace my 250 watt psu that came in my computer, i needed the extra power when i upgraded my video card and added a sound card. I started getting small problems like screen flickers, than lockups and then finally crashes and the system would not bootup. The time frame was about 6 months. I had to replace my cpu to fix the problem, i also got an Enlight 420 watt psu. I have had no problems since

clunk? any loud noise is usealy the heads hitting the platter or the motor going out... I'd back up anthing you cant afford to loose. If you feal like a fresh install dl the setup utill form you had drive maker and do a factory re-certification test. do you have smart enadle in the bios? tell us about the drive and system....before you do anthing like what i reccomended... what are your voltages?
